 Growing up on the Bayous of Southern Louisiana,
LaBassPro.com
founder John Beck, Jr. had exposure to
all types of fishing. With a strong desire to learn
more, he began his search for information. What he
found was mostly information on saltwater and some
bass
fishing just about everywhere in the country, but
Louisiana.
Our state provides access to the best freshwater fishing in the world. Obtaining
information related to fishing was limited to the
advice of friends and the local tackle shop.
With the rise of the Internet, many fishing related
websites surfaced to expand the knowledgebase of the
fishing community and make it available to the
public. Although there are thousands of fishing
websites, there are few devoted to Bass Fishing and
more importantly, Bass Fishing in Louisiana.
In late 2003, John created LaBassPro.com solely
dedicated freshwater Bass fishing in Louisiana.
After much research, and help from the right people,
LaBassPro.com was founded.
 In
2006 John partnered a long time friend and
Bass Angler Paul Amedee.
Paul has been
fishing bass tournaments for 20 years. In that time he
has won many local tournaments. As a member of BASS Paul
also competes in the Federations ranks in Louisiana and
has done well there also. Paul is the State Representative
for LaBasspro.com and Captain of the La Bass Pro Staff
team. When he's not busy at the La Bass Pro
office, he travels throughout the
southern United States doing something he loves, chasing
bass.
With the vast complexities of today's Internet
driven market place, finding accurate and detailed
information related to Louisiana Bass Fishing has
become next to impossible. By integrating all facets
of this $60 billion dollar industry, LaBassPro.com
is building Louisiana largest online Bass fishing
resource and community to preserve and further the
sport of Bass Fishing in Louisiana.
